The fact that it receives the support of both a Tuner Monster and a Synchro Monster may lead to something very interesting indeed. Could also be interesting with things like Trap Monsters that you can play on your opponent's turn. Or have our minds clear of all fear and worry to do it successfully? Because if so, they're unplayable in tournaments. Formula Synchron can Synchro Summon regular Synchros during your opponent's turn. Start new topic. Recommended Posts. Once you Special Summon your Virtual World monster from your hand, and after you send the card of your choice from your deck to your graveyard, you also get another bonus. Virtual World Mai-Hime - Lulu searches you another Virtual World card from your deck; you have to choose a card that's a different card type from whatever you targeted on the field, or sent from the deck.

Virtual World Roshi - Laolao lets you revive a Virtual World monster of a different name than what you sent from the deck to the graveyard with Virtual World Roshi - Laolao. This monster's a Level 6 Tuner.

Virtual World Kirin - Lili lets you send a second card from your deck to the graveyard, again, as long as it isn't the same card type as whatever you targeted on the field or sent to the graveyard the first time. All of the Special Summon from hand abilities are hard once-per-turn effects, so you generally want to stay diversified and avoid drawing multiple copies.

And if you use any one of those effects, you're locked into Special Summoning only Level 3 or Rank 3 or higher monsters. That's not a huge restriction for most types of summons, but it means you can't really play Link Monsters. If you're sending a monster to the graveyard, the best card to send is probably Virtual World Hime - Nyannyan ; you can revive it for free if you summon another Level 3, and when it's revived that way it becomes a Tuner.

If Virtual World Hime - Nyannyan leaves the field it gets banished, but that's actually a good thing for this deck; if Virtual World Hime - Nyannyan gets banished, you can recycle another one of your banished cards back to your deck. If you're sending a spell card, you'd want to choose Virtual World Gate - Qinglong.

Once per turn if it's in the graveyard, you can banish it to add another Virtual World monster from your deck to your hand as long as you send another card from your hand to the graveyard afterwards.

That basically means that every two Virtual World monsters can send this card and search for any other monster.

That's really good! While on the field, Virtual World Gate - Qinglong is a Continuous Spell that lets you negate a monster effect on the field until the end of the turn, by banishing another Virtual World card from your graveyard.

I supposed that effect could come in handy when you're going second. And with the spell card Virtual World City - Kauwloon , you can fetch Virtual World Gate - Qinglong from your deck and immediately use it to negate a monster. Virtual World Gate - Chuche is your one trap card option.

Its graveyard effect lets you increase or decrease the Level or Rank of a Virtual World monster you control by three. It's a bit lackluster, but you need it if you're missing the right Levels for certain combos.

The on-field effect of Virtual World Gate - Chuche is much better! It lets you return two banished Virtual World cards with different names back to your deck to pop a card on the field. It serves as a searchable interruption and removal when you need to disrupt your opponent or pop Mystic Mine, and the recycling is a solid bonus. I briefly mentioned the spell, but that's because that's really all Virtual World City - Kauwloon does. It has other bonus effects depending on how many other face-up Gates you control, but at the moment I don't think it's possible to resolve those effects consistently.

Blazing Vortex may make it more realistic in the future, since it introduces another "Gate" trap card. In my playtesting, I find that you want to draw multiple Virtual World monsters with different names so you can summon them all and get their bonuses. And though you do want to special summon them all, you usually have to Normal Summon one of them unless you open with one of either [ Virtual World Gate - Qinglong or Virtual World City - Kauwloon to target.

From there you gather as many resources as you can, so you can make Synchros and Xyz Summons! The Virtual World theme introduces two new Synchros and three new Xyz, so I'll give you a rundown on those too.

Its effect is similar to Mechquipped Angineer and D. Warrior Lady. Personally I wouldn't play this card; its effect is pretty underwhelming for the level of investment, and the other options you could make for that kind of cost. Virtual World Dragon - Longlong is another Rank 3 that takes at least 2 Level 3s to make, but ideally you want to Xyz Summon it with three materials.

That's because while it has materials it can't be targeted, and when your opponent controls a monster, and they activate the effect of a monster with an attribute that isn't on their field, you can detach two materials from Virtual World Dragon - Longlong to negate it. That effect is a bit situational, but ATK backed by something sort of like a monster negate is actually pretty viable.

The added buff of being untargetable comes in handy too. It's a pretty aggressive card: by detaching two materials you can target a face-up card your opponent controls and another card in the graveyard, and banish both. If you Xyz Summons Fanfan and it's destroyed by an opponent's card, either by battle or card effect, you get to Special Summon two more Virtual World monsters from your deck with matching type and attribute.

Virtual World Phoenix - Fanfan a pretty good pressure tool, replacing itself when it's destroyed and keeping you on the field. Not bad. It can't be destroyed by battle or card effects while you have at least two different monsters in your graveyard with the same type and attribute, and you can also two different monsters with the same type and attributes to send another card on the field to the graveyard. So while Virtual World Beast - Jiujiu a nice wall, it can also be removal.
