How much hp does a zx14r have

They will just not make a small cc peppy bike. They will not …. It does put out only 32 hp. But its the way it delivers them that impresses me most. Of course, removing all the restriction stuff of which this bike has a lot and with a remap you can probably reach a good 45 hp. I saw a couple of kids like that the other day. Stupid, stupid, stupid — even on a slow bike. A hp bike sounds like fun though.

Nice idea, but why bother? My 3-cyl Triumph Daytona already makes what, like hp? With an EASY 10 more to be had with minimal mods, perhaps 20ish with not too much effort.

Anyone know what a WSS-spec Daytona is making? Still …. I like my license too much, I guess. The Kaw and Duc are impressive as engineering achievements, but they produce twice as much unneeded power. Six times as much as my 32 Harley Strange that Kawasaki are claiming the same power figure for the ZX14 that they claimed when they released the ZX10R which was two bhp more than BMW were claiming for their SR — must be marketing time again!

I wonder if the new Kawasaki will be as far under the claim as the ZX10R was? On a personal note, I think a light good handling bike with about 80bhp makes a lot more sense than a qith I think when Kawi sees people want to buy a hp bike, and governments and insurers do not prevent it, they will build it. They are not constrained by engineering limits. I wonder how it takes off in 6th? Better go test ride one when it gets here in two weeks to see. For those that are impressed with numbers, though, I can see the appeal.

Call it the Zephyr Not since the Z have we had a naked Kawasaki with a massive engine. Although that Suz is an awesome bike, I would have preferred to keep a Kawasaki in my garage instead. The reason for this is legislation!!! No one takes a blind bit of notice about a Veyron crashing at high speed but if a biker does it….. It reaches horsepower, pound-feeet of torque, and pounds of curb weight. The Suzuki Hayabusa is created for smooth operation at speed and rides hard enough for even the most skilled riders to have a lot of fun with.

But the Kawasaki is a strong contender. The ZXr is serious competition for the Suzuki Hayabusa. Famed for being the first factory sportbike to surpass miles per hour since classics like the HDR Vincent Black Shadow had clocked such speeds on the salt flats in the s, the Ninja ZXr came onto the scene doing mph in ——according to Cycle World.

This bike definitely holds its own with the Hayabusa. In fact, it actually goes faster. It has arguably been the better bike since the release saw massive upgrades.

The Kawasaki bike comes in either metallic diablo black or golden blazed green. The Kawasaki Ninja ZXr touts a tremendous top speed of mph. This is made possible by a 1,cc inline four-cylinder that creates horsepower and pound-feet of torque. To hold the massive engine, the frame of the ZX14R has a unique aluminum monocoque structure, so that the entire frame is an integrated support structure bolted directly on.

Being a top of the line model, the ZX14R comes with all the bells and whistles. ABS, adjustable traction control, dual power modes high performance and regular riding , dual intake valves to optimize air-to-fuel, Brembo M50 monobloc brake calipers that are derived directly from MotoGP and World SBK race series, and a slipper clutch that allows for optimal power and traction from the rear wheel. From Kawasaki. Economical Riding Indicator. Using high-precision electronic control for engine management, Kawasaki models can achieve a high level of fuel efficiency.

The Economical Riding Indicator is a function that indicates when current riding conditions are consuming a low amount of fuel. The system continuously monitors fuel consumption, regardless of vehicle speed, engine speed, throttle position and other riding conditions. When fuel consumption is low for a given speed i. Further, keeping fuel consumption low also helps minimize negative impact on the environment. Multiple rider-selectable modes the number of modes varies by model offer progressively greater levels of intrusion to suit the riding situation and rider preference.

Less intrusive modes maintain optimum traction during cornering. Designed with sport riding in mind, they facilitate acceleration out of corners by maximizing forward drive from the rear wheel. In the more intrusive modes and for some models, in any mode , when excessive wheel spin is detected, engine output is reduced to allow grip to be regained, effectively enabling riders to negotiate both short, slippery patches train tracks or manhole covers and extended stretches of bad roads wet pavement, cobblestone, gravel with confidence.

Models equipped with IMU incorporate chassis-orientation feedback to offer even more precise management. Dual Throttle Valves. Late-model sport bikes often use large-bore throttle bodies to generate high levels of power.
