I started the story with questions, and ended the story with all the questions still hanging out there. It was obvious from the hints Deborah Coates dropped throughout the short story, that the protagonist, Beth, has had some kind of history killing "Things.

Feb 12, JM rated it liked it. Not bad, but it somehow felt too girly for me. Guess, by the context, that it's a short story set in a longer novel series. I enjoyed it, though there was a little too much sense of being thrown into the unexplained for my tastes.
